Job Title: Head – Financial Controller
Experience: 10 to 15+ years
Job Location: Chennai
Primary Responsibility:
To handle the controllership function for India operations – This includes review of general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparation of reports as part of the close process, Audit and tax compliances, and reporting.
Scope includes Preparation of reports for Statutory and Management purposes.
Handling treasury and Payroll function also for Thailand. Ownership for the country’s accounting & finance function including tax and other finance related compliances.
Specific Requirements:
Should be in a position to maintain the books as per local Indian GAAP as well as US GAAP.
Specialist in US GAAP / IGAAP / SEC Filing / Form 10K Submission
Working knowledge in SAP is a must.
Strong familiarity with requirements of US GAAP.
Extensive corporate financing experience at the most senior level.
The individual should ideally have experience of a project oriented business.
Proven cash management and investment planning expertise
Knowledge and experience in corporate and financial compliance.
Exposure to overseas financial markets an advantage.
Ability to lead complex and demanding projects.
Be a business operations leader, and not merely a finance leader. Experience of working as a Business Partner; contributing to the overall business direction and the challenges thereof.
Understanding of cultural differences and global business requirements.
Power Industry background – added advantage
Exposure to Mergers and Acquisition from Accounting perspective
Familiarity with FASB 133.
Practical knowledge in Company Law
Banking / Treasury Exposure
Expert in Excel.
Passion for Accounting and Compliance.
