Job Summary:
• Design, development and integration of the software components for Co.'s storage arrays.
• Understanding the performance, support, availability and manageability issues and developing solutions to build robust, portable and scalable solution.
Technical Skills:
• Languages and tools:
o C, C++, OOP, Unix Scripting, VMWare API, Linux system administration
• OS and Virtualization Platforms:
o Linux, ESXi and Virtualization technologies
o Strong operating systems and programming background
o Linux administration experience
o Installation / Upgrade experience on multiple platforms
• Design and Programming
o Application and System level programming experience in Linux/Unix
o Multi-threaded programming experience
o Network programming experience
o Storage and Network Management Experience
o Strong Networking and Storage protocol concepts
o Strong design and architecting skills in physical and virtual environment and adaptation of large systems-level components
o Experience with Design Patterns
o Experience with Intel architectures
• Debugging:
o Excellent debugging skills and the ability to read existing code to understand its intent and diagnose/resolve complex problems
o Tools – gdb, memory profiling tools like valgrind, strace, network protocol analyzer like wireshark, iometer, iorate
• Storage Domain
o Strong knowledge and working experience in NAS/SAN domain
o Experience with Co. Storage technologies / products will be added advantage
Soft Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills,
• A positive attitude, the past experience and strong ability to work in a geographically distributed environment
