* Background in building Platforms and components for reuse.
* Background in development using .Net or similar application technology.
* Extensive understanding and hand on experience in integration, message oriented and UI patterns.
* Strong understanding of SOA, pros and cons and best practices.
* Broad range of experience in various tools and technologies.
* Extensive modeling experience and able to communicate models effectively to development team.
* Strong Microsoft technology skills.
* BS/BA in Computer Science.
* Prefer 10+ years experience in Information Technology or Software
Product Development.
* Enterprise Level Architecture deployment experience is desirable.

| Job Description |
Candidates interested in this position must have:
* Solid development experience with proven system architecture background.
* 10+ years of engineering leadership experience which includes being able to lead, motivate and the ability to work effectively in a cross-group collaboration manner.
* Able to break high level architectural vision into small chunk of implementations and ensure vision does not get blurred during implementation.
Responsibilities include:
* Develop working knowledge of all internal Microsoft architectural and software development standards and design patterns
* Demonstrate architectural implementation via design and code that has been unit tested for performance and can be used as development exemplar.
* Participate in design, architecture, and code reviews
* Build reusable best practice code exemplars.
* Influence engineering team’s implementation methodology.
* Work with central IT organization to build better processes and engineering standards.
* Responsible for Design and development of multiple feature areas / big applications.
* Ensures designs and feature implementations conform to design standards
* Ensures Code developed by team adheres to all standards and processes of Microsoft
* Ensures Design adheres to Design Quality Standards and complies with security, privacy, usability and performance standards
* Ensures the team’s work products adhere to the desig
* Propose Architectures for Applications
* Technology Evaluation and recommendation for application architecture problems
* Creation and adoption of Technology Patterns and Practices
* Architecture and Design Reviews
* Providing time and resource estimates for features / applications
* Ensures owned feature areas / applications are delivered to business on time with the expected quality
* Proactively identifies opportunities for Reuse within the applications and across the group
Skill Sets:
* Good written, presentation and oral communication skills required.
* Sound problem analysis, resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills required.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Demonstrated leadership experience with a Software Development Life Cycle Methodology
* Demonstrated history of making decisions, accepting ownership for decisions, and adhering to decisions once made.
* The ability to deal with conflict and multiple constituencies and manage multiple simultaneous objectives is imperative. |
