Job Summary:
As a Functional consultant in the Product development organization, the job will involve working collaboratively with technical and functional associates within the team in India and the Netherlands towards the development, maintenance and testing of the product.
Responsibilities:
* This role involves providing support and functional (actuarial) consultancy for the Life Insurance application to the technical and test team.
* Writing functional designs based on Solution definitions.
* Reviewing test cases written by the testers to ensure if all aspects of the functionality are covered and tested.
* Ensuring that the User documentations written by the team are reviewed for functional adherance and consistency.
* eventually be responsible for the components delivered by the team in India.
Minimum Requirements:
* Fluency in written and spoken English .
* Minimum 4 to 5+ years of experience in the Life Insurance sector.
* Have a very good understanding of the Life Insurance domain
* Hands on knowledge of Life Insurance
* Understanding of Financial Mathematics
* Understanding of Underwriting, re-insurance etc..
* Understanding of Insurance policy formulation
* Understanding of Probability and Mathematical Statistics
* Understanding of Actuarial Planning and Control
* Should preferably be a Student/Associate/Fellow of the Actuarial Institute of India.
* Any Graduation with a post graduate degree.
* Excellent academic background
* Proficiency using computer software such as Excel, Word, and Access.
* Analyzing and solving problems and anticipating the business impact of solutions.
* Working knowledge of Software products related to Life Insurance
Additional Qualifications:
* Ability to quickly understand software products.
* Excellent intellectual ability supported by strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills.
* High level energy with sense of ownership.
* Commitment to achieving results and client objectives, flexible and a team player able to work unsupervised when required.
