Job description:
* Assist and evaluate the current state, define “to be” application architecture and develop the roadmap to get there.
* Define standards, guidelines and principles that the rest of IT will use for its design and technology decision.
* Perform governance over projects for compliance with defined architecture and standards
* Develop a concise set of architectural “guiding principles” that are effective with reasoning behind them.
* Communicate frequently with development teams, infrastructure teams and business to share experience and best practice. Use these sessions to lay foundation for more formal communication when issues arise
* Develop a strategy for application integration as well as business architecture
* Develop application patterns and design standardization
* Shift focus from tactical, project-level architecture towards strategic architecture development
* Improve delivery rate and quality of solutions
* Help to develop operational efficiency to deliver IT-enables business innovation
* Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology
* Provides direction to technical staff regarding technical solution needed to meet business requirements and support business processes

Skills:
* Work experience should include multiple years of working with Tier 1 and 2 ERP solutions such as SAP, Oracle, and IBM etc.
* Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture. Understand what works and what does not
* Experience with integrations and integration technologies.
* Experienced in working with complex technical architectures and infrastructures
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to analyze processes, make recommended changes to support improvements, and translate into solutions
* Demonstrated ability to apply strong lateral and analytical thinking skills
