Consultant Software Engineer:
Working under minimal direction and exercising considerable latitude, provides technical expertise in developing solutions to complex software engineering problems, which require frequent use of ingenuity and creativity. Provides work leadership to others. Interfaces with senior management to provide and obtain information and to build onsensus regarding project direction. Assignments may include new products as well as upgrades, and enhancements or fixes to existing products.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Indepth experience and knowledge is the vertical we want to hire; Ex: Storage Software, UI, Applications (Ex: SQL, Exch). Should not require ramp up time in that area.
* Some experience in architecting complex software products, using various architectural methodologies/principles (Granularity, modularity, coupling, etc)
* Storage Hardware domain(awareness)
* Broad understanding of upcoming and current Technologies like virtualization, Cloud Computing, SaaS and deduplication in areas of storage, networking and telecom.
* Demonstrated experience in creating POCs for-solutions – integrating existing products for field solutions
future direction – integrating new technologies into roadmaps
* Must demonstrate in-depth experience in any of the following areas and associated languages (EX C, C++, Python, Java, .Net etc):System Programming, Web based programming, Database/application programming
SKILLS:
* Provide technical leadership and direction to Product roadmaps
* Review and provide directional feedback on product architectures
* Actively engage with engineering teams on various goals like Code optimization, performance, scalability, usability, security, etc.
* Re-engineer current products for various Business reasons.
