Job Description JOB DESCIPTION:

Business Analyst / QA Tester, Actimize Project

Role/Principal Accountabilities:

* Business analysis, requirements interpretation and documentation, design and development team engagement
* Business liaison and relationship management to understand user objectives and motivations. Implementing solutions and services to help achieve them
* Work closely with development teams (both Java and Microsoft Technologies) to ensure functional suitability and user satisfaction
* Become an application expert and provide day-to-day functional support as necessary
* Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
* Creation of logical and innovative solutions to complex problems
* Draw up specific proposals for enhanced or replacement systems
* Presentation of solutions to internal clients
* Testing: design and execution of test scenarios and test scripts
* Writing user guides
* Provide system training to users as required

3 Key objectives critical to the success of the role:

* Expertise in Compliance Surveillance & Monitoring
* Full project life cycle implementation experience on Actimize (preferred) or similar third party Compliance systems (e.g. Mantas, Norkom etc) or equivalent large in-house built systems
* Excellent BA and Testing skills

Qualifications required:

* Educated to degree level

Experience/Knowledge:

Essential:

* Minimum of three years of IT experience at least two of which have been in business analysis roles in an investment banking environment
* Solid working business knowledge on Compliance Surveillance and Monitoring (AML and Market Abuse)
* Full project life-cycle experience on Compliance Surveillance and Monitoring (AML and Market Abuse) projects
* Excellent BA and QA Testing skills (including writing test plans and test cases)
* Experience of structured process environments
* Good knowledge of software development best practices
* Data and business process modelling
* A confident person articulate, enthusiastic, outgoing and works well in a team
* Pro-active, energetic professional with strong communication and networking skills
* Experience of managing internal client relationships
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and business knowledge
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Experience in functional support
* Solid experience working on Actimize implementations or other equivalent surveillance systems (e.g. Mantas, Norkom, etc or equivalent large in house built systems).

Preferred:

* Experience of enterprise, global applications
* Experience of working with remotely located IT teams

Knowledge Required e.g. product, systems

Essential:

* Compliance Surveillance and Monitoring (AML, Market Abuse)
* Full MS Office suite
* MS Visio
* Actimize or similar 3rd party surveillance and monitoring systems
