Job Description:
* The work involves
Designing and developing Operating System specific packages of drivers and firmware update utilities, under a common framework for Linux and Windows OS (RHEL, SLES, Windows Server).
* To develop software for installation, deployment, firmware/driver updates, server management and monitoring features for the latest server products.
* developing software for installation, deployment, firmware/driver updates, server management and monitoring features for Cisco’s latest server products.
* Designing and developing OS based agents for monitoring server health status, server sensors, Server management MIBs, and integrating with management products.
Skills required:
* Experience with package management, building packages and installation tools in Linux and windows (RPM, InstallShield).
* Experience with installation procedures of RHEL, SLES and Windows Server operating systems on high end MP servers.
* Experience with Microsoft OEM system builder, preinstallation kits, Windows Preinstallation Environment.
* Experience with scripting (Shell, javascript, PHP) for implementing server update and diagnostics features.
* Ability to debug integration issues involving device drivers/firmware for different devices.
* Experience with C programming preferable. |
